Why It Matters

A separate offshore team is another team to coordinate, not extra capacity

Standalone offshore teams often end up running their own process, their own backlog and their own standups, which adds coordination overhead instead of removing it.

One Team, One Backlog

Engineers who work inside your existing process

Extended engineers join your sprint board, your standups and your tools directly, so there is one backlog and one source of truth, not two teams to keep in sync.

  • Same sprint board, same standups, same tools.
  • Work assigned by your engineering lead, not a separate manager.
  • No coordination layer between two teams.

Screened Before They Join

Engineers who can contribute from the first sprint

Every extension hire is screened on real engineering work before joining, so they add capacity from the first sprint instead of spending weeks ramping up on basics.

  • Technical screening before anyone joins.
  • Matched to your stack and codebase.
  • Onboarded into your existing documentation.

How It Works

From open roles to an extended team in about two weeks

1
Share your stack
Tell us your tech stack, tools, and the roles you want to add to your existing team.
2
Shortlist
We match candidates by stack experience and send you 2 to 3 profiles per role within days.
3
Interview
Your engineering lead interviews the shortlist directly and picks who joins.
4
Onboard
The new hire gets access to your tools and joins your sprint board in the first week.
5
Scale as needed
Add or release extension seats as your roadmap and capacity needs shift.

FAQ

Team Extension, answered

What does Team Extension actually include?
We source and screen engineers who join your existing sprint board, tools and standups, working under your engineering lead the same as an in-house hire, rather than as a separate team working apart from you.
How is this different from Build Your Team?
Build Your Team assembles a new, standalone team around a set of roles. Team Extension adds individuals directly into a team you already run, so they inherit your existing process instead of bringing a separate one.
Who manages the extended team members?
Your own engineering lead does, the same as any other member of the team. TCB Infotech handles sourcing, screening, employment and payroll, but not day-to-day task assignment.
How many engineers can I add at once?
Most teams start with one or two engineers to confirm the fit, then add more once the first hires are integrated into the sprint cadence.
What is the engagement model?
You can hire full time or part time per engineer, and scale the number of extended seats up or down with notice as your roadmap changes.
What if an extended team member is not the right fit?
We replace them at no extra recruiting cost during the engagement, with a handover of their open tickets to the replacement.

Team Extension Hiring Features

How Team Extension Works

From your stack to an engineer working inside your sprint board. Here is how we source, match and onboard every Team Extension hire.

Core Process

Sourcing, matching and onboarding, in that order

Sourcing

Engineers screened against your actual stack

Before an engineer joins our bench, they are tested on the frameworks and tools relevant to your stack, not generic coding trivia.

  • Stack-specific technical screening.
  • Real-world task, not a quiz.
  • Communication checked for standup readiness.

Matching

You get a shortlist, not a resume pile

We match engineers to your specific stack, codebase maturity, and the timezone overlap your standups need. You see 2 to 3 fitting profiles, not fifty.

  • Matched to your tech stack.
  • Matched to your codebase and tooling.
  • Matched to your standup hours.

Onboarding

Into your sprint board, not a separate one

The new hire gets access to your tools, joins your sprint board, and starts picking up tickets in the first week, managed by your own engineering lead from day one.

  • Tool and repo access set up before day one.
  • Joins your existing sprint board directly.
  • Managed by your engineering lead, not a third party.
